Wow
I have just logged into my Guild Wars account. I have not played in about a year. I have noticed extreme changes in the layout of the game before logging in, and I have noticed alot of other changes in prices of items. I remember the Supperior Warrior Runes being up to 100 platinum then. I log in now and people are selling them for 2p. I am not sure what else has changed in the past year in Guild Wars and could only imagine what it would look like in 2 years. If anyone here has played Guild Wars a year ago please let me know of just some of the changes you have noticed. Thanks

Honestly, there are to many changes to mention.
You should start by checking all of the guild wars game and skill updates first. |

Go here. There's archives as to what all has changed. I'd also like to point out that there's been updates of all kinds just about every friday since almost a year ago, as well as random updates during the week on occasion. There's just no way anyone could say everything that's changed here. |

Check for your mini-pet, and please don't make a new thread asking what it is. Check your inventory if your character is year old and open the b-day gift.

aw...I thought this was gonna be another World of Warcraft flame-a-thon...
Seriously, you haven't played in a year and you want to know the changes that have occurred in the game? That pretty much means you played for maybe a month...I am appalled by your lack of commitment! you missed holiday events and all kinds of little and huge tweeks and bug fixes, new missions and areas and gameplay advances...new items (greens and Icy Dragon sword), new countries have joined the community (Japan is a go)...My favorite change is not having to earn the skill points back to change where they go...now you can adjust them as often as you like in towns(remember when going from a Barrage to Trapper required hours of gameplay to shift the attribute points...ugh!)...you missed too much to note, really...My honest suggestion is to start playing the game. After all, you paid for it. |

Thanks for the replies guys. I am sure I missed plenty of holiday events and other things. I have/had 3 level 20 characters with all the skills that were there a year ago. W/Ne, R/E, Mo/Me. I remember 'farming' getting quite difficult, dont even know if it is possible anymore. I bought the game when it first came out thinking it would be good, and it was for the time I played it. I bought the best armors you could buy since I wasnt that kind of idiot who would spend months playing just to get the "amazing" Fissure of Woe armor that has the same defense. Dyed it all black for my Warrior, the rest for my other characters was a mix.
I never participated in PvP events, and my guild didnt either. I still have a guild and guild hall even though all of my guild members have long ago left. I see new people everywhere I go that I have not seen back then. I also unlocked all the places up until the summer update which I obviously didnt stay to play for. I dont even know where those places are or where to search for them and can care less about them. I know the expansion is out and I have bought it. Havent tried it yet, but I guess I will sometime soon. The reason I love Guild Wars is because the movement features. It feels so loose and is very easy to move around, not as tight as other online games I have played. Didnt really know it was free to play until I bought it, dont care because I would have probably payed the fee whatever it would have been. Left the game because there was a lack of things to do after all the missions and bonuses were completed on all of my characters. My Warrior and Ranger were the only ones that had all the quests completed. The monk had a few quests to go. But I am looking forward to playing again and catching up on whatever I missed sometime soon. See you guys there, Konstantin. (Костя по-русский) |
